Dan Brown graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music, recieving a dual bachelor of music degree in both film scoring and music composition, with a minor in contemporary conducting. While studying at Berklee he won the Jim Reyes scholarship award from the Department of Composition, the Berklee World Tour scholarship award, the Berklee Academic Achievement scholarship award, and twice was a winner of the Berklee Curtain Up annual songwriting competition. 

 

Dan has worked as a performer as well as a composer for several years, performing with the Taylorsville Symphony Orchestra, the Granite Senior Youth Symphony Orchestra, the South City Jazz, the Berklee Musical Theater Orchestra, and played keyboard for the bands Gambiza and Good Bones. 

 

Dan has also worked extensively as a music director.  Dan was the music director and keyboardist for the New England headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God,

and was a frequent music director and sound designer

for the Boston Conservatory, the Theater Offensive,

and the Berklee College of Music. Dan was also the composer/arranger and orchestral director for the

Boston Choir and Orchestra (now the Voices

of Zion), a 50-piece community orchestra and

choir that performs in the Greater Boston area, 

for two seasons. 

 

Dan now lives in Los Angeles with his

wonderful wife, Brandy, working as a

freelance composer and sound designer.

Dan enjoys long walks by the river, reading

novels by firelight, and writing biographies

in the third person.
